Seagull Advertising is seeking a Brand Manager to lead the growth and visibility of the Seagull brand. The role is designed for someone passionate about ideas, branding, and building long-term relationships within the entrepreneurial and marketing communities.
Role Overview
The Brand Manager will ensure that entrepreneurs, startups, brand managers, marketing managers and media consistently recognize Seagull as an “Ideas Agency” with a proven track record in launching and growing brands. They will have full ownership of the brand’s digital and physical presence, content strategy, and collaboration initiatives.
1. Content Curation & Strategy
  • Curate and share insights and inspiration from sources such as The Warc, Contagious, Cannes Lions, Youtube and other industry-leading platforms.
  • Manage and maintain the content quality and tone of the Seagull Advertising website, social media handles, and Founder Sameer Desai’s digital presence.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the agency’s positioning and supports long-term brand growth.
2. Strategic Event Management & Brand Assets
  • Take full responsibility for organizing, coordinating, and executing Seagull’s key brand initiatives:
  • Cheers to Ideas (Monthly) – A forum for discussing the world’s best ideas.
  • Start-Up Launchpad (Biannual) – A platform to showcase the startups launched by Seagull.
  • Branding for Profit Seminar (Annual) – An event focused on Seagull’s branding process and how it drives profitability.
  • Ensure these physical events are well-coordinated, engaging, and amplified across all social media platforms and traditional media outlets, including print, radio, and television where relevant.
3. Media, Industry & Startup Collaborations
  • Build and maintain relationships with media partners, startup incubators, industry associations, and B-schools.
  • Facilitate partnerships and collaborations to enhance event reach and brand recognition.
  • Actively pursue speaker opportunities for the founder at relevant industry associations, events, and prominent B-schools.
  • Over time, develop and maintain a presence within the Government’s startup and industry ecosystem.
Growth & Geographic Expansion
  • Initial Focus: Cement Seagull’s leadership position in Pune.
  • Long-Term Plan: Gradually scale efforts to other major Indian cities, with a systematic approach.
