Seagull celebrated its Annual Day on Saturday the 19th of June 2010 in a special way. The occasion marked the 14th anniversary of the agency, which has gone from strength to strength ever since it was set up on this day 14 years ago.
A special outing was organised to Pinewood Resort at Karjat to which even the families of Seagullites were invited. For that matter, invitations were sent out to ex-Seagullites as well. Almost everybody turned up with their spouses and children, numbering 50 enthusiastic picnickers in all. Seagull had availed of the services of professional event managers, Escapades, to plan and execute the entire event.
Everybody assembled at the Seagull office premises early in the morning and left for Karjat at 6:15 a.m. On reaching their destination at 8:30 a.m., some mouthwatering delicacies were served for breakfast, but not before an interesting ice-breaker in the form of skits. This was followed by a quick celebration. The Directors, Sameer and Reshma Desai, who had their wedding anniversary on that day, cut a cake amid loud cheers and wishes by one and all.
The venue came alive with numerous activities during the day, which included games like “obstacles”, “treasure hunt”, some “pool games”, and even a “rain dance”. These were interspersed with a sumptuous lunch and lip-smacking snacks, before the tired revellers boarded the luxury coach at their disposal at sundown to undertake their journey back to base. They started from Pinewood Resort at 6:15 p.m. and reached the Seagull office premises on Baner Road by about 8:30 p.m.
